5 months later and I’m finally sharing about the best day of my life! It’s crazy to think about how some days are so much more important than others, the days that we will remember in 10 or 15 years, the days that changed our lives. For the most part, my life changing days that are the ones anyone would expect like the day I started high school, the day I had my first kiss, the first time I went to a concert, the day I moved into my college dorm. But March 25, 2018 was absolutely the best day of my life and it was completely different from what I expected!
The day started off with church. We went to the ward and I loved it. It was all in French. We could have used the translators and gone to the English portion but Marissa and I chose to stay in the regular sacrament meeting and I think I could understand about 70% of the meeting. I was so proud that my French was paying off! I seriously love the language! I think its beautiful and I cant wait to be fluent in it!
After church we went on a walk through the city. We walked past the Notre Dame, across the Pont Neuf, around the Louvre, through the Tuileries to Pont Alexander III, past the Musée de l’Armée, towards the Champs de Mars and ended at the Eiffel Tower! HOLY FREAKING YES THE EIFFEL TOWER! YOU KNOW THE PLACE OF ALL MY DREAMS. lol prepare yourself for a montage of pictures because i don’t think i’ve ever been happier! Not to be dramatic or anything but I literally peaked this day!
It felt like everything in my life led up to this moment! We were walking across the Champs de Mars and about halfway through the field I just stopped walking. I had the biggest smile on my face and my friends said I looked like a kid on Christmas. My face was pure joy! Marissa walked up to me and asked if she could give me a hug. I didn’t mean for this to come across as mean but I just told her no. She looked confused for a second but then laughed it off. I’m sorry Marissa but I just had to savor the moment. And let me tell you, that moment was by far one of the most magical things I have ever experienced! I think I died and went to heaven! Ah yeah I’m a big fan of the French and the Eiffel Tower!
Just went I thought the day couldn’t get any better, it did! We went back that night and watched it sparkle. Yes I cried, a lot! I seriously can’t even explain how much I love it. As much as I loved it in the daytime, an evening and night at the Eiffel Tower is so incredible! This is something everyone has to see at least once because it is unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. I love the Eiffel Tower at all times of the day!! It was my favorite place in all of Paris and I couldn’t get enough of it. I tried to see it every day and sadly that didn’t happen, but thats okay because I will be back one day! This place and this building is still my favorite part of study abroad!
MON AMOUR JE TAIME PARIS
